Whilst putting the finishing touches on my thesis, I have started working with the OSCILOS team on developing non-linear flame models used in this open source code for simulating combustion instability. I just submitted a paper on the effect of the moving flame induced discontinuity to Combustion Science and Technology. The paper talks about the effect of the added time dependency on the limit cycle amplitude and the stability of lean premixed combustors.
